The natural beauty of the countryside around the village of Cononley provides ideal walking conditions for both the experienced and leisurely ramblers.

Cononley has two friendly local pubs, the New Inn and The Railway, both within easy walking distance, and both serve good food and ale.

The villiage store and post office is well stocked.

The Railway Station (5 minutes walk) has trains running at least every 30 minutes to Skipton and into Leeds & Bradford.

Skipton and Castle - Known as the 'Gateway to the Dales' and 5 minutes away by car or train. The castle is one of the best preserved and most complete medieval castles in England.

Settle to Carlisle Railway - Travelling through many miles of scenic splendour with the train providing a perfect vantage point from which to enjoy the views.

Haworth and Bronte Country - 15 minutes by car or step back in time and take the Worth Valley Railway to vist the home of the Bronte Sisters. Enjoy the village of Haworth and see for yourself the scenery which inspired their writing.

 

Bolton Abbey - Relax and enjoy the breathtaking landscape with its medieval buildings, woodland walks and riverside cafe.

Picturesque Dales Villages - Grassington, Malham, Pateley Bridge, Kettlewell, Settle and Ingleton - to name but a few - all within easy travelling distance.

Fountains Abbey - Spectacular ruins plus 650 acres of woodland, deer park and ornamental gardens.

Boat Trips - Starting from Skipton on the canal waterways and travelling through beautiful countryside, these boat trips are a great attraction.
